1.

The easiest and most delicious mousse I’ve ever made

    Birthday

I almost forgot about my birthday this year, but luckily remembered. Does that mean I’m officially that person, the one who doesn’t remember their birthday and is the same age for four consecutive years? Man, I hope not. Not yet atleast.

Recipe: Dark Chocolate Mousse, Bon Appétit

  2. Clockwise from top right: Antique tins, old bottles, and wood boxes from Bottle Shop Antiques; chicken salad from Babette’s.

    Weekend Rummaging

I spent the weekend upstate visiting my parents (and missing the fiance I left in the city). My one request while I was there, aside from planning a wedding, was to visit the great antique/junk/vintage shops that dot the towns. It’s embarrassing how little I visited them more when I was growing up, because the inventory is downright epic. I left with a few glass jars and a mix of old silverware, and even made one find in my parents’ attic (thanks for the blue mason jar, Grandma!). We topped it off with a visit to Babatte’s Kitchen in Millbrook, NY. It’s in a bigger space than when I went last, but the chicken salad is just as so-good-I-want-to-eat-ten-sandwiches. If you’re ever traveling through, make this a stop.
